Vandana believes that being a REALTOR® is about more than professional associations, she believes that Realtors should be involved in the communities in which they work. Vandana improves our community by educating homeowners, homebuyers as well as donating her time and money to Habitat for Humanity. To date, Vandana and her company have donated over two million dollars and built more than ten Habitat Homes.

Vandana's passion to help and contribute to Southern Nevada is apparent through the community work she does. To really kick off the beginning of her philanthropic work, in 2007, Vandana began collecting eyewear on Halloween for Sight Night. Sight Night is a part of a family of vision care programs called Give the Gift of Sight sponsored by LensCrafters Foundation in partnership with Lions Clubs International. Youngsters collect used eyeglasses along with their candy every year on Halloween. The eyeglasses are then recycled and hand delivered to people in developing countries who cannot afford vision care. These are people who might never have any other chance to see an eye doctor. Additionally, Vandana has sponsored and hosted many blood drives for the United Blood Services as well as hosted and personally cooked meals for organizations like Family Promise of Las Vegas. Family Promise is a community response to homelessness, made up of the giving hearts of community members, houses of faith, and local service agencies. Vandana believes that no child should sleep in a car or under a bridge. Every family deserves a chance to be whole and have a roof over their head again.

Vandana volunteers in her children’s school once a week as a phonics tutor after the teachers discovered that she not only has a Masters degree in Education but that she also successfully helped to write a grant package for the Reach Up! Phonics program for the Long Beach Unified School District over 10 years ago. Vandana is also a mentor for CSSD Community Partnership Program and has been for over five years where she has been helping and motivating high school seniors who are struggling to graduate. Vandana’s mentees not only graduated from high school but were accepted for admission into both the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. For the past ten years, Vandana sponsored, raised money and collected toys for their Annual Christmas en el Barrio toy drive which is a nationwide program started in 2007 by the National Latino Peace Officers Association to provide toys at Christmas for children who otherwise might not receive any. In 2016, Vandana joined forces with community leaders to provide over 1000 toys to the children of Tom Williams Elementary School.

Five years ago, Vandana was approached by an agent in her office who suffered from leukemia regarding the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The agent wanted Vandana to donate money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk which is an annual fundraising walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Vandana orchestrated a regional event for all the Exit Realty franchisees within Southern Nevada and raised thousands of dollars.

In 2013, Vandana was nominated for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Woman of the Year which is a fundraising competition in communities across the U.S. in which participants vie for the title of Man or Woman of the Year. Participants raise funds for blood cancer research in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors-the Boy & Girl of the Year-because everyone wins when cancer loses. In 2013, Vandana far surpassed her fundraising efforts. In 2014, Vandana was nominated again and surpassed her previous year’s fundraising efforts. To date, Vandana has raised nearly $50,000 for the Southern Nevada Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Vandana is a Leadership Las Vegas Alumni, Class of 2017. Leadership Las Vegas is the premier community leadership building program in Southern Nevada, designed for executives and accomplished professionals from a wide range of industries who want to make a positive impact on the community. Through the 10-month program, class members develop a deeper understanding of the region, its challenges and opportunities, in order to become more effective leaders and change agents.

Through her participation in Leadership Las Vegas, Vandana spearheaded several fundraising initiatives. One of those initiatives was to purchase and donate a 15 passenger van for the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada filled with backpacks and school supplies, through her company. Vandana successfully did that for the 2017-2018 school year and intends to continue to do the same year after year. Another initiative which came about through Leadership Las Vegas was to raise $50,000 to donate a multipurpose room and programming costs to the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center.

Vandana also co-hosted a radio show called Real Estate EXposed, every Thursday which streamed live. In it, Vandana and her co-host EXposed EVERYTHING Real Estate Related. Vandana is also very involved with legislation and makes it her goal to sit on the Nevada Association of REALTORS Legislative Management Team (LMT). Every two years, Vandana spends about 6 months reading bills that affect the real estate industry and offers guidance and suggestions to the team’s lobbyists. This last legislative session was a successful one for the REALTOR community in Nevada and Vandana is proud to be a part of that.

Born in New Delhi, India, Vandana moved to the Pacific Palisades when she was eight. She moved to Santa Monica next then from California to Las Vegas in 2003. She enjoys dancing, watching movies, traveling, networking, spending time with her family and living a healthy lifestyle. In fact, Vandana took her passion for CrossFit to the next level (in true Vandana form) and is currently a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer.
