As the population keeps growing the Hughes Corp keeps on adding Schools & Amenities to the area!

TWO NEW SCHOOLS OPENING IN SUMMERLIN

Summerlin is adding two more public schools to its roster of educational offerings, just in time for the start of the 2017-18 school year on August 14: Rosemary and Billy Vassiliadis Elementary School in The Paseos village and Shelly Berkley Elementary School in The Cliffs village. The new schools, owned and operated by Clark County School District, will bring the total number of public and private schools in Summerlin to 27.

“As Summerlin continues to evolve, The Howard Hughes Corporation continues to add critical and important amenities such as schools to support our growing population,” said Tom Warden, Senior Vice President, Summerlin. “Public school locations are always incorporated into the master plan, and so is the location of the adjacent park and trail system. Our goal is to offer safe routes to and from school for students and their parents while encouraging outdoor activity. Summerlin’s award winning trail system is perfectly suited for that.”

Named for former U.S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, who represented Nevada’s first Congressional District from 1999 to 2013, Berkley Elementary School is located near Maule Avenue and Grand Canyon Drive. Vassiliadis Elementary School, located on Antelope Ridge Drive, is named for Rosemary Vassiliadis, Clark County Director of Aviation; and Billy Vassiliadis, CEO and principal of R&R Partners, an international marketing and public relations firm who has been active in supporting education in Southern Nevada for many years. Both schools span more than 100,000 square feet in a new two-story design and can accommodate up to 850 students in 53 classrooms.

The new schools are located in two of Summerlin’s most popular and fastest growing villages. The scenic Paseos village currently offers the community’s largest selection of new homes in 12 gated neighborhoods by seven homebuilders. In total, these neighborhoods encompass more than 50 unique floor plans. Homes in The Paseos range from approximately 1,850 to more than 4,200 square feet with starting prices ranging from the $300,000s to more than $800,000.

Six diverse and gorgeous neighborhoods by four homebuilders, each offering a wide range of new homes in a variety of styles and price points, are now actively selling in The Cliffs village, the community’s southernmost village taking shape at the base of a dramatic ridgeline that forms its spectacular and namesake backdrop. Actively selling homes in The Cliffs range from 1,665 to 3,238 square feet and are priced from $400,000s to more than $800,000s. Homes in The Cliffs embody a contemporary and rugged architectural style to seamlessly and harmoniously blend with the stunning topography of the area.
